CHAVIVA CONNECTIONS

Last Day, Lasting Memories

Updated: Jul 7

Our final days of school were filled with moments that perfectly captured the energy, warmth, and achdus that define the Chaviva experience. From joyful celebration to meaningful reflection, each part of the day was designed to mark the end of the year with intention and heart.

On our last day of school for the year, we began the day with a waffle bar breakfast hosted by our Lev heads, Leila Ganz and Nuni Peltz, followed by the presentation of meaningful, personalized awards from our Nishmas heads, Raizy Greenberger and Sarah Israeli. Each award was a celebration of friendship, growth, and individual contribution. Special Chessed Queen sweatshirts were presented to students who went above and beyond in giving to others throughout the year.

Despite the rain, our annual foam party became a spontaneous and fun-filled play-in-the-rain celebration, filled with laughter and sisterhood. We ended the day with our cherished letter-writing ceremony, where students wrote heartfelt notes of appreciation and encouragement to one another and staff, offering a moment of reflection, gratitude, and connection.

Students who participated in our Girls Growth Challenge (GGC) celebrated with a delicious dinner at Mendel’s hosted by our Nishmas heads. Those who took on GGC to the Max—which included kPhone and strict phone filters (no WhatsApp included!)—were also rewarded with an overnight stay at a beautiful Airbnb in Geneva-on-the-Lake. Huge thanks to Mrs. Greenblatt, who led this initiative, and to Mrs. Schwartz, who joined as chaperone.

These final experiences of the school year were a beautiful culmination of everything Chaviva stands for—joy, friendship, growth, and meaning. We are so proud of our students and the spirit they bring to our community, and we look forward to everything that lies ahead.
