Once A Chaviva Girl, Always A Chaviva Girl
As a new school year begins, we love hearing from our Chaviva alumnae and celebrating the many different paths they are taking after graduation. From seminary and college to careers, teaching, and life in Israel, our graduates continue to learn, grow, and build meaningful lives in so many different ways.
Tzippy Chafetz, Basya Greenberger, and Dahlia Shtern are continuing their learning in Michlalah, while Chana Bloom is attending Sharfman’s Seminary. Rikki Shtern is continuing her studies at Ursuline College in the nursing program and hopes to graduate with her BSN in May 2027. Eliana Sobel earned her BA in Psychology and is currently pursuing her master’s in Special Education. Yael Weiss (Evans) graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and is completing prerequisites for a master’s in Nutrition at Sara Schneirer. Adina Firestone Sorscher earned her BA in Business Administration and is now working as an LSW.
Our alumnae are also building careers in a variety of fields. Bracha Leah Labinksy works as an Operations Manager for Feldart and hopes to continue in the business field. Eliana Sobel is a Lead Pre-K Teacher in both Kodesh and General Studies. Miryam Fink is working in social media and marketing for a real estate company in Israel, while Elianna Goldish is studying Business at Touro University’s Lander College for Women with a concentration in management and marketing. She is also participating in a fellowship through Touro and NJAC focused on law and Jewish advocacy. Yael is teaching first through third-grade boys in General Studies, working at Mimi’s Boutique, and selling cars. Adina is working at Naaleh, and Chana is beginning a job in southern New Mexico as part of shlichus.
Several of our alumnae are also making their homes in Israel. Miryam Fink made Aliyah this past February and is now living in Jerusalem. She shared that her time in Israel has brought a renewed connection to Hashem, while Tzippy and Basya are preparing for their own experiences in seminary. Tzippy shared that she feels well prepared for seminary and grateful for the mentors she can lean on along the way.
We are especially touched by the gratitude many of our alumnae continue to express for their time at Chaviva. Bracha Leah shared, “I really feel like everything I accomplished to get me where I am today is because of Chaviva, and I will forever be grateful for it. Best decision I ever made!” Basya shared that she misses Chaviva and is grateful for the ways the school helped shape who she is today.

We are so proud of our alumnae and grateful to remain connected as they continue their journeys beyond Chaviva. We look forward to celebrating many more milestones with our graduates and their families in the year ahead!
