Fall Shabbaton: Let Go to Grow

Chaviva’s in-town Shabbaton brought together warmth, learning, and genuine connection under the uplifting theme “Let Go to Grow.” From start to finish, students experienced a Shabbos filled with meaning, energy, and unforgettable moments.

The Shabbaton began with delicious meals and a creative “Human Guess Who” icebreaker that had everyone laughing and connecting immediately. Inspiring Friday night workshops set a thoughtful tone, and the lively “Host!” game with the Koyfmans added a fun and engaging touch that students are still talking about.

Shabbos day was filled with depth and reflection. Grade meals created space for bonding and unity, and a thought-provoking panel with Rabbi Abrin, Dr. Ornstein, and Mr. Berkowitz sparked important conversations. One of the most powerful moments of the weekend came from Mrs. Fariba Diamond, who shared her gripping story of escaping Iran; leaving the room silent, inspired, and deeply moved.

Throughout the Shabbos, students’ divrei Torah added warmth, heart, and insight, elevating the entire experience. The weekend wrapped up on a high note with a spirited trivia game show and refreshing açaí bowls, a perfect ending to a memorable and uplifting Shabbaton.
