Hands-On Discovery

Our students were surprised with a special field trip to the Great Lakes Science Center, an experience designed to spark curiosity and bring learning to life beyond the classroom.

The day began with a powerful IMAX presentation on the human body, highlighting real stories of individuals whose lives were transformed through medical innovation and prosthetic technology. Students then explored the Super Human exhibit, which showcased how technological advancements are expanding possibilities and creating a more inclusive world.

One of the most memorable moments of the trip was the hands-on pig heart dissection. Working in pairs, students examined a real heart, identifying its four chambers, exploring the aorta, and observing blood vessels up close—an unforgettable opportunity to connect directly with what they’ve been learning.

Back at school, the experience was brought full circle with a visit from guest speaker Mrs. Roizy Jacobs, founder of The Next Step, who shared her inspiring work supporting amputees in Israel.
