Graduation is never just about the ceremony—it’s about the journey that led there. At Chaviva, that journey is filled with challenge, growth, friendship, and the steady guidance of teachers who truly care. This year’s commencement captured all of that and more, celebrating a class that has left a lasting imprint on our school and is ready to step into the world with strength and purpose.
Our 11 graduates walked proudly to the stage, flanked by their teachers lining the aisles—a tradition that began with our very first class, when there were more faculty than students. That simple but powerful gesture has become a cherished part of our graduation, symbolizing the close relationships, unwavering support, and shared journey that define a Chaviva education.
Each graduate addressed the audience with grace and thoughtfulness, offering heartfelt reflections on how their years at Chaviva have shaped their path, deepened their values, and strengthened their sense of self. Their words were moving, sincere, and filled with gratitude for their teachers, their classmates, and the opportunities that helped them grow into the remarkable young women they are today.
In a significant moment, the seniors honored Mrs. Zeldy Mandel with this year’s Teacher Appreciation Award. They presented her with a beautiful Hadlakas Neiros artwork, expressing their hakaras hatov for her unwavering dedication, her wisdom, and the light she brings into the lives of her students.
We thank our dedicated administrative team and our principal, Mrs. Berkowitz, whose leadership and support make moments like this possible. Special thanks to Shelby Jones, a member of our admin team, for capturing these unforgettable memories through her photography.
The ceremony concluded with divrei bracha from Rabbi Gross and the Bnos Aliyah ceremony, in which our 11th graders symbolically stepped into their new role as leaders of the school. With sincerity and unity, the students recited two perakim of Tehillim—one for the safety and strength of Eretz Yisrael, and one as an expression of gratitude to Hakadosh Baruch Hu for the blessings of the year gone by.
As this group of graduates turns the page to their next chapter, they take with them more than just knowledge. They carry the strength of their values, the confidence of their accomplishments, and the support of a school that believes in who they are—and who they’re becoming.
Mazal tov to our incredible graduates and their families. We are so proud of who you’ve become, and so excited to see where your journey takes you next. May you go forward with confidence, clarity, and the conviction to continue building a life of purpose and meaning.
