A Warm Welcome: Open House 2026

We were proud to host over 50 prospective students and parents to learn more about Chaviva High School during our annual Open House, our largest group to date.

The evening began with Mrs. Fleksher, who shared an inside look at our academic philosophy and educational approach. Guests then heard from a dynamic teacher panel, moderated by Mrs. Schabes and featuring Mrs. Quin Hlavaty, Mr. Stephen Hopkins, Mrs. Sarah Chava Greenblatt, and Mrs. Malky Wolman, who offered insight into the classroom experience and student growth.

This was followed by the highlight of every open house, our student panel. Moderated by alumna Ms. Rikki Shtern, representatives from all four grades spoke candidly about their experiences at Chaviva, giving attendees a genuine glimpse into student life. Thank you to Ruthie Aloni, Tzippy Chafetz, Sofya Itin, and Devorah Makalsky for their willingness to openly share their thoughts and perspectives and truly represent Chaviva High School.

Mrs. Berkowitz concluded the formal program with an overview of the admissions process and key upcoming dates. The evening wrapped up with an opportunity for families to connect personally with administrators, teachers, and students.
