LEADERSHIP & EMPOWERMENT

At Chaviva, we believe leadership is best learned through practice, accountability, and the courage to take on challenges. Our students are given meaningful opportunities to step forward, take initiative, and develop the skills that prepare them to lead—in school, in their communities, and in life. With guidance from dedicated faculty and mentors, they discover how their voices and actions can create lasting impact.

Leadership Class

Leadership at Chaviva is more than theory—it’s practice. In our Leadership class, students take on meaningful projects that build responsibility, creativity, and teamwork. One of the highlights is our Shark Tank initiative, where girls develop, pitch, and launch real-world fundraising projects that support our school or benefit society at large. This hands-on experience teaches entrepreneurial thinking, goal-setting, and presentation skills, while showing students that their ideas can spark real change.

Public Speaking & Debate

At Chaviva, we know that strong communication is at the heart of strong leadership. Public speaking training begins in 9th grade and continues throughout students’ high school years, both in the classroom and in extracurricular programs. From debate to student showcases, our girls practice speaking with clarity and confidence, learning how to connect with an audience and advocate for themselves and others.

Student Leadership Roles

At Chaviva, leadership is woven into every aspect of school life. Students take on roles such as Chessed Heads, Yom Iyun coordinators, and Shabbaton planners, gaining real experience in teamwork, decision-making, and responsibility. They also lead major initiatives, including the student-led school play, the Shining Stars mentorship program, and the annual Chaviva 5K. Each of these programs gives girls the chance to guide, plan, and inspire—putting their leadership skills into action.
